The Paddock Singers in Brighton on Thursday, 6th December 2012

We were thrilled to be part of a Christmas fundraising evening in the  fabulous evening in the sumptuous surroundings of the Music Room.

The evening was a mix of traditional carols and we sang a beautiful version of In the Deep Mid Winter followed by the lively Jingle Bell Rock!

The evening was punctuated with readings from actress Shirley Jaffe including a send up version of the Twelve Days of Christmas written by John Julius Norwich. ¬†Shirley’s reading was interspersed with our chorus which worked very well and was much appreciated!

We were part of a double bill with the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus who took to the stage after the interval with a lively medley of popular Christmas songs and we joined them at the end for White Christmas and Oh Come All Ye Faithful.

Thanks to Brighton Pavilion for asking us to perform in this historic room – we all loved the experience.
